Retailers Rank DigiPoS Store Solutions #1 - “Best of the Best” in Hardware LeaderBoard Survey, RIS News

Burlington, Ontario July 13, 2007 – It was announced recently that DigiPoS Store Solutions was ranked #1 by Retailers in the POS Systems category for RIS News' 2nd annual Hardware LeaderBoard survey.  This year, DigiPoS placed first in Product Features, first in price/value, and first in Overall Performance categories, giving DigiPoS an overall top score of 54.66.

Over 200 respected C-Level Executive, Directors and IT Managers from well-known Retailers reviewed 41 vendors in the study. The intent was to measure customer satisfaction of retail technology providers in six product categories: POS Units; Peripherals; Kiosks; Networking; Back of Store; and RFID. DigiPoS was assessed in the POS Units category and out-placed all competitors ranking # 1, a step up from second place in 2006, beating out Ultimate Technology, IBM, NCR, Fujitsu, Wincor, Dell, and HP.

RIS Reports that although DigiPoS is smaller than the standard market leaders, its ranking is no fluke as DigiPoS finished a very close second place last year.

Don Gibson, Managing Director of DigiPoS Store Solutions North America says of the ranking:

“We are deeply honored and excited to have risen to the top of the Hardware Leaderboard Survey and I am really proud of what we have accomplished in such a short period of time. It proves that that even though we are young in comparison to the more well-known players, we are more agile and responsive to what Retailers truly need, something which DigiPoS from day one has aimed to achieve.  Our exponential growth allows us to continue to push the boundaries of Retail technology and exceed our customer’s expectations because we know that’s what sets us apart.”

RIS reports an interesting difference between this year and last's year's scores within the POS units category is that each of the top five finishers this year would have finished in first place in 2006. The winning score last year was 48.86, which would have earned it only sixth place this year.

The full Hardware Leaderboard report will be available in the July issue of RIS News, a major leader in Retail IT reporting.
